"As we surrender our lives and let God take over the reins of our heart, our souls will delight in the abundance of His rivers of joy! In the midst of wars and rumors of wars, we will have joy; when all the news being reported is bad news, we’ll have joy..."

  June/July 2004
"They ministered with a sense of urgency and many souls were added to the Church. Today, there are numerous men and women around the world that are laboring for the sake of the gospel, and we must continue to pray that God will grant each of us opportunities to testify of Him..."

"Our lives can easily become cluttered with many well-intended deeds, but let's not forsake our First Love..."

  December 2005
"Let us be deliberate in our celebration of His birth and the proclamation of His gospel, for He has given light to those who sat in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

  Introductory Letter 2003

First appeared in the premier edition of A Walk in the Garden Devotionals, 2003

  October/November 2003

May the Lord bless you season after season, may you flourish like the green olive tree, and may you bear fruit continually. May you be joyful always; may He guard your heart with His peace in the midst of wars and turmoil in the earth. Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

  December 2003/January 2004
"Far above all earthly anecdote, will be my utter joy, as I offer up myself to God in worship, giving thanks for Messiah’s birth, as is the case every day for His true followers who worship in spirit and in truth!"

  May/June 2005
"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession..."

  October/November 2004
"The world is like a troubled sea with roaring waves and dangerous currents. In countries great and small, evil is rampant. Commotions are every where and the unexpected greets us on newscasts and in the daily newspapers. More than commentaries on world events, these things are manifestations of the darkness that resides in the hearts of man..."

  March/April 2005
"I pray that when you are caught in the fray of battle, may the Lord encamp around you with shouts of victory, and command deliverances for you..."

  July/August 2005

"I pray that you will be strengthened in your trials and temptations and endure to the very end. Remember that God is a very present help in the time of trouble and He knows how to preserve His saints."

  August/September 2004
“Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
