A Light That‘s Not Hidden!

There is a tidal wave sweeping the world.  Its mission is to kill, steal, and destroy, and then there is that little wave that appears insignificant, but has an under-current with the same intent to draw men away to eternal separation from God.

As followers of Christ, we bear the light the world desperately needs to find their way.  Like lighthouses, we must beam our lights far and wide and be vigilant at all times. The world is shamelessly showcasing its wares of profanity and perverseness and many are becoming intoxicated with goblet after goblet of its 'wine' which comes in so many varieties, some ever so subtle.

Let us not sleep, but awake and pray, and be not drunk with the cares of this world and the pride of life. We must stay focused as we work in the Lord’s vineyard. He is watching us and is expecting a work well done. He greets us in the morning and all the day long. He causes us to rest in the evening and fills our hearts with a song. He feeds us our daily bread -- just like He does for the sparrows and we are worth more than these.

Many of us have been changed by His transforming grace and our names can be found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. As we continue the journey, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us in fulfilling the divine purposes of God, we must deliberately keep both our physical and spiritual ears and hearts open to the Word of God and not grow complacent.

He is gracious and delights in blessing His children, so that we can do likewise. Let’s go share the joy of the Lord with the weary and minister healing to the brokenhearted, and good tidings to the poor and set the captives free.  Let’s give of our fruits, for we bear fruit in every season. Let’s repair a wall and stop a breach and build again the desolate places.
