Welcome A WALK IN THE GARDEN DEVOTIONALS Hope & Encouragement for Life's Journey
Who are you, great mountain?
Is there a mountain before you this day? Does it appear insurmountable? Like the children of Israel, have you taken your journey into the wilderness and skirted Mount Seir for many days? Hear the word of God to Moses, saying: "You have skirted this mountain long enough, turn northward, and to Zerubbabel: "Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of "Grace, grace to it!" Let that be a word for you today! God will cause us to triumph. With God, there is always a way out, a way around, or a way through the wilderness and a way into His promises. He is the way, the truth and the life; He is the door. He's the how, the when and the where of it all! Despise not the day of small things, for even as the eyes of the Lord rejoiced to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel, He will rejoice over you when he sees you holding that thing you have believe for.
Let's rejoice in spirit, soul and body, for we are children of the living God! Many of us have skirted our mountains long enough; some of us have stared at our mountains long enough. Our great and mighty God has not changed. Let there be cries of "Grace, grace to your vision this day!" Let there be a great rejoicing in the camp of the Lord, for the strongholds are being broken, mountains are being cast into the sea, even with the faith as little as a mustard seed. Highways are appearing in the wilderness, expectation is being met, desire is being fulfilled, things hoped for are coming to pass, and Jesus Christ is still Lord over all. Let's trust and obey Him; let's purpose to keep our hearts and minds on Him. He knows how to deliver. He will perfect all that concerns us for His glory and His praise. Shout for joy and bless His holy name!
In the Love of Christ,
Marcia Niles
