A New Year Has Begun
Greetings, fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord. Grace and peace to you through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
All the best in 2021 by the grace and mercies of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
-A Walk In The Garden Devotionals
This letter of encouragement first appeared from A Walk In The Garden in our 2006 newsletter. It is relevant year after year. May you discover His perfect will for your life as you persevere in hope, faith and love. God bless you!
Thanks be to our great God, who has preserved us to this day. A new year has begun, and we know not what the future holds, but we know Him who holds the future and each of us in His hands. We know Him who has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Our lives and times are truly in His hands and we are secure in the bundle of the Lord.
We thank Him for the road we traveled in 2020. We thank Him for his faithfulness and His mercies. We thank Him for His strength and for being our fourth man in the fire during our past trials. We thank Him for making us to grow in His grace and the knowledge of Him and filling us with His unspeakable joy and peace! We thank Him for opening the gates for the saints who have finished their earthly sojourn.
As we continue on our journey, let us purpose to trust in Him who has begun a good work in us and will complete it. Knowing this, we look forward with hope and great expectation. He is charting our course and we need not fear wind or rain. We position ourselves on this new threshold to do the Father's business. We empty ourselves and leave behind those things that belong to yesterday. Do not be detained for excess baggage. This is a new day! Embrace the possibilities and the challenges. Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of our faith!We thank Him for the road we traveled in 2020. We thank Him for his faithfulness and His mercies. We thank Him for His strength and for being our fourth man in the fire during our past trials. Christmas Greetings

What blessed hope we have through
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
{Luke 1:26-33}
And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, "Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. And behold, thou shall conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
{Matthew 1:18-20}
"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost."
{Luke 2:7-14}
And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
Reflection
Unlike the stories we read about in everyday life and are soon forgotten, or the news we discard as old news, the story of the entrance of our Lord Jesus Christ into the world never grows old in our hearts.
The Christmas season is unlike any other celebrated on earth. Even those who have not experienced new birth, find themselves caught up in the joyful atmosphere and are giving glory to God.
God Himself in human flesh—born of a virgin—to save the souls of men. This prophecy and miracle cannot be fathomed by the human mind, but the born-again experience is real for all who have had an encounter with the true and living God and His Spirit that raises us from death to life, from darkness to light. Praise the Lord, our Emmanuel!
In His time, God brought to pass His perfect plan for the redemption of souls and restoration of broken lives. Before the foundation of the earth, He set in motion His divine purpose for you, me and the world. Receive the hope and blessed peace that He alone can give. Be filled with His unspeakable joy... be filled with His Spirit!
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
Peace and goodwill to all, this Christmas season and always... In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A Call to Salvation
Messengers of God's Grace
And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there, save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me, but none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. (Acts 20:22-24)
Bible Verses About Love
(Luke 10:27)
You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.
(John 3:16, 17)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
A Prayer
Lord God, You are gracious and merciful, longsuffering and kind. As You brought me to the fold, bring others, Savior, I pray. Amen.

Rejoice With Thanksgiving, in the Presence of the Lord

Draw Near to God, Behold His Majesty!
Take delight in the Lord, seek His face forevermore. "The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and His righteousness endureth forever." (Psalm 111:2 & 3)
A Prayer:
Give us a hunger and a thirst to do Your will, Lord God; to seek Your face forevermore. All Your works are done in truth; righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. You are all wise and powerful, and we worship none but You. Instruct our hearts to do that which is good and pleasing in Your sight. Let Your ways be known upon the earth. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.
