A Prayer For Today

My Faithful Father, Savior and Friend,

My soul rejoices, in You who bids me come to Your throne of grace. I exalt You in praise and worship. You are my God and there is no other. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; keep me on the straight and narrow way, by day and by night. In Your holy, righteous name, I pray with thanksgiving.

Amen and Amen.

Heartstrings: Glorious Praise to the God of Heaven and Earth

Praising God from a pure heart, acknowledging Him in all of our ways, is pleasing in His sight. He is God, Creator, and Ruler of all. We have no life apart from Him. The life of every living creature, and the breath of all mankind is in His hand. (See Job 12:10)

He has no pleasure in disloyal hearts. (See 1 Samuel 15:20-23, Isaiah 29:13-14, Ezekiel 33:31-32, and John 4:21-24)

"Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven." (Lamentations 3:41)

"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand." (Psalm 95:1-7)

See Also: Psalm 1, Psalm 2, Psalm 3, Psalm 4, Psalm 5, Psalm 7, Psalm 8, Psalm 9, Psalm 13, Psalm 16, Psalm 18, Psalm 19, Psalm 22, Psalm 23, Psalm 24, Psalm 27, Psalm 28, Psalm 29, Psalm 30, Psalm 33, Psalm 34, Psalm 42, Psalm 43, Psalm 47, Psalm 48, Psalm 50, Psalm 64, Psalm 65, Psalm 66, Psalm 67, Psalm 75, Psalm 81, Psalm 89, Psalm 92, Psalm 98, Psalm 99, Psalm 100, Psalm 101, Psalm 103, Psalm 104, Psalm 105, Psalm 106, Psalm 107, Psalm 108, Psalm 111, Psalm 112, Psalm 113, Psalm 115, Psalm 117, Psalm 118, Psalm 134, Psalm 138, Psalm 144, Psalm 145, Psalm 146, Psalm 147, Psalm 148, Psalm 149, Psalm 150

For deeper meditation, read the entire Book of Psalms.

Speak to one another, in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always, for all things to God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. {Ephesians 5:19}

Heart to Heart: Wonderful Counselor

Praise the Lord, our Wonderful Counselor! He is holy, righteous, good, true, merciful, gracious, longsuffering, just, all-wise, all-knowing, all power is in His hand. By His word, He made the heavens and the earth and everything in them, visible and invisible. Nothing or no one can stand against Him and His purposes. He executes His perfect plans without fail. Blessed be the name of the Lord God, Most High! He bids us come, seek His face and walk in His ways. From generation to generation, He is the same. Glory, Hallelujah!

A Prayer For Today

Thank You Lord for Your unfailing love, and the blessing of a new day. To behold Your beauty, and to inquire in Your temple. In Your holy name, I pray. Amen.

Draw Near to God, Behold His Majesty!

Take delight in the Lord, seek His face forevermore. "The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and His righteousness endureth forever." (Psalm 111:2 & 3)

A Prayer:

Give us a hunger and a thirst to do Your will, Lord God; to seek Your face forevermore. All Your works are done in truth; righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. You are all wise and powerful, and we worship none but You. Instruct our hearts to do that which is good and pleasing in Your sight. Let Your ways be known upon the earth. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

Inspiration For Our Daily Christian Walk

Put on your beautiful garment of praise and magnify the Lord God Almighty! Let us exalt His name together; for the Lord is good and worthy of honor and praise, from the rising of the sun, until the going down of the same.

Our Redeemer is the Great Shepherd and Keeper of our souls. In the presence of the King of glory, there is fullness of joy; at His right hand, pleasures forevermore.

"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice." (Philippians 4:4)

Let Zion Rejoice!

The Lord God our King, is in the midst of His people and makes the place of His feet glorious. He takes great delight in those who hearken unto Him, who follow righteousness, that seek the Lord. "For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody." (Isaiah 51:3)

The Lord is Good

When we consider the great goodness of the Lord, and His tender mercies, may our hearts overflow with praise and thanks forever and forever. He created the heavens, the earth and everything and everyone in them. He poured His goodness into His creation, "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good." (Genesis 1:31)

This mighty God we serve is gracious, full of compassion; slow to anger and great in mercy. O, how He cares for all His works. Make known His mighty acts and the glorious majesty of His everlasting kingdom. By His grace, we are saved. Bless Him, saints of God!

A Life of Praise and Worship

David in Psalm 145:3 declared, "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. His son Solomon in 1 Kings 8:27, declared, "But will God indeed dwell on earth Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!"

It is said that this vast earth on which we live can fill the sun about one million times. What a thought! Now consider: there are things created far beyond what man can see or fathom, and the Great God who made them all, is worthy of our praise and worship. He has not made anything His equal.

A Prayer:
Lord God, we dedicate ourselves to You, the One True God. For we are Your temple in which Your Spirit dwells and Your temple is holy. We humbly bow in Your presence, to praise You and worship You, in spirit and in truth; now and throughout eternity. Amen.

Praise & Worship

The Lord who made the heavens and the earth is great and greatly to be praised! He is the true and living God. He alone is to be feared above all gods. Only He can save us. "Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples." (Psalm 96:1-3)
