For as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 

For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. (Isaiah 55:10-13)

Of false prophets, the Lord said to Ezekiel, "Woe to the false prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing." (Ezekiel 13:3)

"Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you." says the Lord God. (Ezekiel 13:8)

A Prayer:
Lord God, give us spiritual sight and spiritual understanding. Help us not to believe everything we see and everything we hear. Also help us not to despise prophesies. When your true prophets spoke, your words were often met with rejection and hostility. So grant us a spirit of discernment and lead and guide us into all truth. Amen.

One Day

Childlike Faith

Children are important to God. In His eyes, they are an example of what His kingdom is like. Children are very trusting of adults and we ought to trust God with the heart of a child. They are also fun, curious, and engaging. All of these attributes make children a delight to be around, and Jesus was more than happy to embrace them and bless them. His disciples were rebuking them. They obviously imagined that Jesus was too busy for little ones, They were wrong. Jesus Himself refers to us as His little children. Our Heavenly Father loves and cares for us. Let us serve Him with childlike faith.
