Psalm 103:13 & 14

Monday Greetings,

A new day, a new week has sprung forth by the commandment of God. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Without Him, we can do nothing.

"As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust." (Psalm 103:13 & 14)

Sunday Meditation: Be Still and Know that He is God

The Lord God, Creator of the ends of the earth, the Great God of all flesh, the Maker of things visible and things invisible. The All Wise God, the All Knowing God, the God Who inhabits our praise. Stand in awe of His love and mercy. Holy and mighty in power. Be humble in His sight.

"There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High." (Psalm 46:4)

"Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"
(Psalm 46:10)

Christian Journey: Pruning

Pruning involves cutting away, getting rid of, removing. In the case of plants, trees and shrubs, that could be twigs, branches, stems, roots. Basically anything that may inhibit the plant's growth and its ability to produce and flourish. Pruning may also involve trimming what seems like good parts in order to make them even better. Sometimes, the branches are many, but there is little fruit. Pruning is good and beneficial for plant life. We being the planting of the Lord and trees of His righteousness, also need to be pruned, so that we may bear much fruit.

Daily Thought: Jesus, Master Builder & Chief Architect

God desires that we worship Him not just with our lips, but from our hearts in spirit and in truth.

By His great power, He formed us from the dust of the earth and made us a living soul. He clothed us with flesh, fenced us with bones and sinews, and put His spirit within us. He fashioned all our members, and made us to multiply and fill the earth. Yet the “Master Builder” and “Chief Architect” of His universe has not left His “Blue Prints” in our hands. Man has tried to come up with his own designs, but have failed to produce an enduring work. Jesus is the foundation, and the chief cornerstone that holds it all together.

As we watch Him and learn at His feet, we would be instructed as to how to go about His business. Our ultimate desire would be to bring glory to His name.

As we live our daily lives, we should be cognizant of His presence. Our hearts should rejoice as we bring Him the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Ignoring Him will result in misguided undertakings, that will not endure the test of His fire, when it is tried. We need not fear when He is leading, for He will direct our paths in righteousness, mercy and truth. Amen.

Bible Reading: Mark 8:34-38

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them: Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Jesus, Our Great Shepherd!

Jesus, our Great Shepherd is leading us through our days and our nights. He is the One who truly cares for us and is watching over us for good. He loves us and desires that we stay close to Him. Apart from His guiding presence, we become the prey of evil that lurks on every side.

We cannot make it through life in our own strength; it is way too small. Our Great Shepherd is our Savior and Lord who has called us to His perfect rest.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores
my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow
of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your
rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of
my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Morning Devotion: I Will Sing From the Covert of Your Wings

In the morning, my prayer shall come unto thee O Lord. You are my strength and my song. Daily I will seek your face. You awaken me to the beautiful sound of your voice. Whatever lies ahead, I know that you are with me to lead me all the day. I will trust and not be afraid. I will rest in your love and sing from the covert of your wings. Let your peace reign in our hearts, even as we keep our minds on thee Lord God. Amen.

Today's Scripture Reading:

Psalm 91:1-7
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge. His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

Thanks be to God who loves us!

In the Garden and Under the Shade of His Love

If you’ve ever taken a walk in a beautiful garden, you are in no haste to leave. You pace your steps as you take time to gaze in wonderment and touch the flowers. You might occasionally stoop to move some twigs out of the way.
As we walk in the light of God’s word, He reveals the glories of His garden—His perfect will for our lives is manifested as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Him who atoned for our sins and brought us into His glorious kingdom.
In the garden, we find our calm repose away from the cares of life. We cast our doubts and fears aside and believe on His name. Being formed in us, His sweet fragrance is diffused to the glory of His name.
In His presence, we have peace and liberty. Come, walk with the Lord in the shade of His love. Come and know His unspeakable joy. His desire is to have fellowship as He did in the beginning before the fall. If you have never experienced His grace and forgiveness, His arms are opened wide. Whosoever will may come.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “ John 3:16,17
