Praise & Worship

The Lord who made the heavens and the earth is great and greatly to be praised! He is the true and living God. He alone is to be feared above all gods. Only He can save us. "Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples." (Psalm 96:1-3)

By My Spirit, Says the LORD of Hosts

With the anointing of God's Spirit and His grace in the lives of His saints, there is no mountain that can stand in the way of God's purposes.

Bible Reading: Zechariah 4:6-10

"This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts. 'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of ''Grace, grace to it!" ' "

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying: "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands shall also finish it. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth."

Bless the Lord God of our souls! In every generation, He calls and anoints men and women to participate in His divine purposes in the earth and to give birth to what is conceived in the Spirit. He rejoices in seeing those purposes fulfilled. As workmen in His kingdom, as runners in the Christian race, under His watchful eyes, He supplies all the grace we need to fight the good fight of faith and to finish the course with joy! Thank You, Lord God!

Inspirational Thoughts: A Well-Watered Garden

A Bible Reading:

"Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, 'He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.' For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, streaming to the goodness of the Lord—for wheat and new wine and oil, for the young of the flock and the herd; their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, and they shall sorrow no more at all. Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old, together; for I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them, and make them rejoice rather than sorrow. I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord." (Jeremiah 31:10-14)

Bless God, who has redeemed us out of every nation and liberated us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Amen.

Today's Devotion: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

O how He loves and cares for you and me! God made us in His image and according to His likeness, to reflect His glory. What a high calling!

"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You." (Psalm 139:13-18)

A Prayer:

Lord God, thank You for Your everlasting love and for redeeming us, seeing that we all have fallen short of the glory for which we were created, and like sheep, gone astray from Your purpose for our lives. Thank You for Your precious and innumerable thoughts towards us. Thank You for the joy of Your salvation, and the power to do your will. Thank You that we can live in Your presence now and forevermore. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

Declare the Praises of the King!

"Praise the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for His mercy endures forever." (Jeremiah 33:11)

Righteous God is plenteous in mercy. He who promised to return the captives of Judah and Israel and make the city of Jerusalem a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, is the same God today. He still brings health and healing, peace and truth, cleansing and pardon. He is God who restores.

The Secret Place of the Most High

A Walk In The Garden Devotions
Today's Bible Reading:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." (Psalm 91:1 & 2)

Reflection on the entire Psalm:

Whatever dangers, toils and snares life may bring, God's children who are resting in Him and cultivating a deeper relationship with Him, can rejoice, for Almighty God takes delight in those who love and trust Him and His great power is made manifest on their behalf.

A Prayer:

Thank You Heavenly Father for Your love and care for us. Thank You Lord God for faith to believe in You and the confidence You have put in the hearts of Your children. Thank You for Your Word that nourishes our hearts and minds and gives us strength. Thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives. Thank You for Your church triumphant! In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Inspiration for the Christian Journey

Good morning and Happy Wednesday!

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13 & 14)

On this Christian journey, the Lord has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. He has given us His peace, His joy and all sufficient grace. He is with us every step of the way and the path like the light of dawn, shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day!

A Prayer:
Thank You Lord for being the way, the truth and the life. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

Today's Bible Reading:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Guidance for Life's Journey

God desires for us to trust in Him, be glad and rejoice! He will lead the way.

When our trust is in the Lord, we don't have to fear... there are victory signs everywhere. It may not appear that way to the natural eye, but we are not controlled by the natural. Faith is the victory!

We thank Him for making us to grow in His grace and the knowledge of Him and filling us with His unspeakable joy and peace.

Christmas Devotional: Divine Purpose

God Himself in human flesh—born of a virgin—to save the souls of men. This miracle cannot be fathomed by the human mind, but what it has accomplished is real for all who have had an encounter with the true and living God and His Spirit that raises us from death to life, from darkness to light.

He whom God delivered from a virgin's womb has come to deliver us, so that we being delivered, can walk in the light and be used of Him to take His light to a dark world. He has come to live in us. Praise the Lord, our Emmanuel!

Mary who found favor with God, believed the word spoken by Gabriel the angel, a messenger of God and yielded herself to God's divine purpose. She didn't understand how, but believed in the Lord, saying "Behold the handmaid of the LORD, be it unto me according to thy word." (Luke 1:38)

For the angel had said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:30-33)

At the appointed time, it came to pass: Jesus was born.

Mary and Joseph were not told beforehand, that there would be no room at the inn and that their baby (God's Son) would lay in a lowly manger; they didn't know (prior to a dream from God) that King Herod would seek the young child to destroy Him. They didn't foresee that at a very young age, Jesus would stay behind at the temple after the Feast of the Passover, causing them much sorrow and anguish. They didn't know of all the powerful miracles Jesus would wrought, neither did they comprehend all the things Jesus would suffer as He went about doing good.

Yet Mary pondered many things. Oh, what pain she must have felt as she looked upon Jesus in agony on a cross, being mocked, wounded, bruised and about to die for sins he did not commit.

We know that sorrow was turned into joy and mourning into dancing. For Christ arose, ascended on High, has led captivity captive and has given gifts to men.

Like Mary, we must trust in God and His divine purpose for our lives and the world. As a yielded vessel in the hands of God, (as so many before us,) we can persevere in the midst of trials and tribulations, we can fight the good fight of faith, and finish our course with joy.

"Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations. He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God." (Psalm 98:1-3)

None of the world's most beautiful gifts can compare to the gifts we receive by the Holy Spirit to transform us from our old, sinful nature to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ and empower us to preach His gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16 & 17)
