Flourishing in the Courts of Our God

The Great Gardener and Keeper of our souls is loving and faithful. According to Psalm 92, God will cause those who are planted in the house of the Lord to flourish and bear fruit even in old age. To the end that His people might declare that the Lord is upright. Our Rock, in whom there is no unrighteousness.

In Isaiah 61:3, the Lord proclaims all the good He will do for Zion, that they may be called trees of His righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Our Great Savior, the Lord Jesus, prayed to the Father for His disciples and those who will believe in Him through their message. "That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." (John 17:21-23)

How Great is the Lord our God, whose temple we are! Praise God!

An Invitation to be Born Again

Jesus, The Good Shepherd is calling all His lost sheep to the fold. He is knocking at the door of your heart. Open the door, and let Him in. You will receive forgiveness for your sins and your name will be written in heaven. You will receive His peace that surpasses all understanding. You will discover the purpose for which you were born: created in His image to bring glory to His name. He knows you better than you know yourself. He will give you power to live for Him by His grace. The gifts of the Spirit He will pour into your life and make you a vessel fit for His use. You will have your trials and tribulations, but you will know His presence in them. You will be more than a conqueror through Him who loves you. Don't delay, Jesus is calling today.

A Prayer for Today

Lord God, You are full of grace and compassion. You remember our frame is dust. Incline our hearts to walk in Your ways, and to retain You in our thoughts. Give strength to Your people, as we live out our days here on earth. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

Inspirational Thoughts: Walking With the Lord

"Hand in hand, we walk with the Lord. Through life's valleys and mountaintops. Through the desert and the wilderness. In pastures green and frost-covered earth. The Savior leads us on. His joy floods the soul; what peace is ours, such blessings divine. We can confidently say, "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine."

Dead to Sin, Alive to God!

Happy Wednesday! Dead to Sin, Alive to God!

According to the Word of God, as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death.

"Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.

Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:4-11)

Thanks be to God for His finished work. He who has begun His good work in us, will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Praise God!

The Chief Cornerstone

Good morning in the Redeemer's name, Jesus our Lord and Savior!

Trust that you are delighting yourselves in Him who called us from darkness into His glorious light. That you are trusting and abiding in His love.

It is He who upholds us by His power; without Him, we can do nothing. He was rejected by men, but He for whom are all things and by whom are all things, is the Captain of our salvation, the Builder of His church. There is no other name whereby mankind can be saved.

"The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone."
-Psalm 118:22

Happy Easter Sunday!

Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them,

"Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."" And they remembered His words.
Luke 24:1-8

A Prayer of Thanks

A Day of Reflection

This Good Friday, Christians the world over will commemorate the crucifixion, death and burial of our Lord Jesus Christ. A day when God's Lamb without blemish was made the sacrifice for sin. A day that by all appearance, seemed to be one of doom and gloom, but it was a day of great deliverance for humanity.

Bible Reading:

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." - Isaiah 53:4-6
